A lot of people don’t understand how I as an attorney can say the things I say, post of things I post and operate the way I do. More importantly they don’t understand why.

I could be a straightlaced guy and I would probably be a judge by now; if I played the game I could be an attorney general or a law professor like many of my colleagues. I could even be a law partner at a big firm by now. The truth is none of that appeals to me and It never really did. However I was on the track to become or should I say fill one of those slots.

The question you should be asking yourself is how did a hard-working relatively mild mannered moderate conservative Traditional minded black man become so out the box!
I think I can trace my metamorphosis to the moment when I realized I had been lied to by society. I had been lied to by the educational institutions. I had been lied to buy pop culture.

As related to traditional relationships and traditional roles, There is no pie in the sky there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. What I realized was that you can live life by your own terms and seek out your own peace of mind and happiness; and there’s nothing anybody can do about it. What is meant for you is meant for you and nobody can take it away from you.

It was the point after my divorce that I realized that there were holes in the traditional Notions of marriage relationships fatherhood and professional life. Holes that couldn’t be filled with more lies And denial. It was at that point I began to explore the world And seek out my own peace of mind and happiness. Come with me on my journey.
